About EZ Weather and the EZ 2.0 Model

Welcome to EZ Weather! My name is Jackson Ezzell, and I am the creator of the EZ 2.0 weather model, a personal project aimed at providing accurate, real-time weather forecasts for Rapid City, SD. Developed using Python and machine learning techniques, EZ 2.0 leverages historical weather data from 2019 onward, combined with real-time observations from my personal weather station. The model predicts key weather parameters such as temperature, humidity, winds, and precipitation, offering a five-day forecast that updates continuously.

What sets EZ 2.0 apart is its integration of advanced algorithms like Random Forest to process and learn from past and present weather patterns, enhancing its accuracy over time. I also use tools like SciPy and Pandas for statistical analysis and data visualization, ensuring that the model refines itself with each forecast.

About Me

I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Florida State University, with a minor in Mathematics and a Certificate in Emergency Management and Homeland Security. My passion for weather and data science has driven me to explore innovative ways to predict and analyze weather phenomena, culminating in the creation of the EZ 2.0 weather model.

In addition to my academic background, I have experience in emergency management, where I've supported disaster response efforts across the U.S. I have also worked extensively with unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and remote sensing, which further deepened my understanding of atmospheric processes and environmental monitoring.

EZ Weather is my platform to share real-time forecasts, current storm information, and valuable weather resources. Thank you for visiting, and I hope you find the information helpful!
